Hey, it’s Brady,
We call this type of language Righteous Rambling:
“Don’t miss it.”
“It’s going to be amazing.”
“We are so excited.”
Big-sounding claims that don’t actually say much.
Let me show you a real example - a church father-daughter camping trip.
You could promote it like this:
“It’s going to be an amazing weekend. Don’t miss it!”
Or, start with the person you’re actually trying to reach. A dad asking:
“How do I raise my kids to know Jesus when everything else in the world seems louder than He is?”
Now you have something real to say.
"Your calendar is full. Focused time with your daughter probably won’t happen by accident. So carve out a weekend together. Get away from the noise. Give her your attention."
Same camping trip.
Much stronger invitation.
“Don’t miss it” asks people to care.
Mission gives them a reason to.
Your Church Was Built for a Family That Is Disappearing
According to Barna, 91% of Protestant pastors are married. Among American adults overall? Half of that.
So today, we’re looking at how the American family has changed, what churches might be missing, and two simple exercises to help you spot the assumptions you may not even realize you’re making.

Thanks as always for your time, attention, and trust. Talk to you next Thursday. - Brady Shearer
