Send *This* Email To Every New Church Visitor
Copy this script and start using it right away...
Hey, it’s Brady,
Today I have a welcome email script to share that you can copy and start using right away in your church.
Before the email though, comes the announcement we share from the stage - it goes like this:
“If you’re new with us, we’re so glad you’re here. To celebrate, we’d love to pledge a $5 donation on your behalf to a charity of your choice. Supporting other charities is something we do every week, and we’d love to include you in that process. Simply locate the blue card and scan the QR code on the back, follow the prompts, and we’ll send you an email asking which charity you want us to donate to.”
Here’s what the connect card design looks like. The QR code on the back takes every guest to a hosted page like this one.

Now for our email template - here’s what I send:
Email Script For New Visitors
A few key notes about this email:
I emphasize that the church will make this donation regardless of the guest’s response and that we just want them to help direct where it will go.
The guest makes their choice from a list of approved charities from the church. This ensures the guest gets to choose, but doesn’t nominate a charity that doesn’t align with your church’s values.
When our guests reply, they’re connected directly to a pastor or other real person in leadership at our church.
By having the guest reply to the email, the church’s sending address gets marked as a safe sender in their inbox going forward.
And how does this work in the real world? At a real church?
This new visitor sequence is infinitely customizable. Tweak it to fit your church’s DNA.

Transform Boring Church Announcements [Real Examples]
Most people ignore church announcements.
Here's the good news: there's a simple formula for effective and attention-grabbing announcements.
Unfortunately, we tend to see churches struggle to actually use this formula.
So today, we are going to write your church announcements for you.
Thanks as always for your time, attention, and trust. Talk to you next Thursday. - Brady Shearer
