I Never Thought This Design Trend Would Return to Church
It shook me to my core.
Hey, it’s Brady,
I recently had dinner with a lead pastor. He and I are both in our mid-30s.
He told me about a design trend returning to churches.
It shook me to my core.
Plants on stage.
If there’s one thing Millennials campaigned against in church -
…it was to get the fake plants off the stage!

But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.
Gen Z maximalism is replacing Millennial minimalism.

They describe it as: ‘a garden in the city.’

Eden Church, Houston
And honestly? I’m all for it.

Bring back the plants!
Let’s just opt for real instead of fake this time.

And how are the people feeling about this trend?

Let’s just say…it’s a mix.

Brutally Honest Truths for Millennials in Church
Let’s keep the Millennial conversation going. Not a Millennial? Keep scrolling. The old people in the room need to have a chat.
In all seriousness, there’s a changing of the guard happening in ministry right now.
And if you're a Millennial, and you're not careful, you are doomed to make the mistakes the generation before us did.
