Hey, it’s Brady,
In the past 86 days, more than 2,000 churches have asked me to audit their communications.
It's been a lot of work. But we now have first-of-its-kind data on this. Which I think is really cool. I want to share it with you!
First, the average church is doing 7.6 announcements per service. Which takes up 7 minutes and 9 seconds every Sunday.
The crazier number to me? When churches make an invitation for the congregation to get involved with an event or ministry, we're pointing our churches to 9.3 different platforms.
What does that mean?
Well, one announcement we'll say: "Talk to pastor" another we'll say "go to the website" or "download the app" or "visit the welcome desk."
So it's no wonder that people are coming up to us and saying, "when was thing happening again?" Because we're trying to spoon feed our congregations every bit of information and hoping they remember it.
What's the fix?
Well, every report we deliver to churches has a personalized plan at the end. It really depends on what you're uniquely struggling with.
The big thing is we'll give you a score out of 100. And then work backwards from there on what to improve.
It's all free. Takes about three minutes to submit.

The Church Announcements Formula [Building Block #6]
If your announcements are just dates, times, locations, logistics, the room quietly tunes out. Information doesn't move people; inspiration does.
Today, we'll unpack the formula that fixes church announcements for good - one story, one next step - then rewrite real ones live.

Thanks as always for your time, attention, and trust. Talk to you next Thursday. - Brady Shearer
