Hey, it’s Brady,

These are the best four camera angles for church live streams…

(downloadable cheat sheet coming later)

#1. Close

We'll use this sparingly on singers and speakers. It's great for detail shots.

#2. Medium

Characterized by the bottom of the frame hitting the waist of the person in the shot.

#3. Cowboy

Gets its name from Western films. Characterized by the bottom of the frame hitting the mid-thigh of the person in the shot.

#4. Full

Importantly, with full, you always want to leave a bit of headroom.

Shared language like this is tremendously helpful when training volunteers:

  • Close

  • Medium

  • Cowboy

  • Full

Thanks as always for your time, attention, and trust. Talk to you next Thursday. - Brady Shearer
