Best Church Social Media Post This Year?

Every church should try this.

Hey, it’s Brady,

This is one of the best social media posts I've seen from a Christian this year.

It's only five seconds long. With a great hook: Emergency Numbers for Marriage.

It's a great swerve. Because the “numbers” are Bible verses.

But the real reason why this post performed so well? It's easy to share. Which is why it has more than 10,000 sends on Instagram.

The head of Instagram said last year that a ‘Send’ is the most important metric because it’s what drives the most value for the overall community.

Here's another example of this kind of post from the same creator:

I really wish more churches would commit to publishing content like this.

It improves Biblical literacy and promotes spiritual practice by motivating people to open their Bibles and trust in God's word.

And it also makes for a great tool for sharing the Gospel. By hitting that ‘Send’ button (like 10,000+ did on that first post) and messaging it to someone who might need it - irrespective of their faith background.

Social Media's New Hack (That's Actually Helpful)

Recently I stumbled into a social media discovery that I could not have predicted.

We're calling it a social media hack - but frankly, that doesn't really do it justice.

Because a hack implies that there's a shortcut taking place. Which is not the case here.

In fact, I would argue that not only is this social media hack helpful, it actually makes social media more human. Making it a perfect fit for churches.

Thanks as always for your time, attention, and trust. - Brady Shearer
