Hey, it’s Brady,
It’s easy to feel like your church social media is failing. But it’s not.
The rules just changed and nobody told you.
Here's what I mean by that. A year ago, if I posted 5 times a week, I knew what to expect. 75,000 views per post let's day. Consistent. Predictable.
Now? 8,000 views. Then 20,000. Then 1.2 million. Then 50,000. The average is actually higher - but the experience feels like chaos.
So what's the way forward?
There are 3 audiences on social - your existing followers, people who might discover you, and people actively evaluating your church.
That third group? They don't care about your view count. They're checking if you're active. If there are signs of life.
An easy way to think about it is - an active social presence today is equivalent to having a website a decade ago.
Basically, content = credibility. So that post with 47 views you thought flopped? It might be the exact post that convinces someone to visit this Sunday.
Your Pastor Says "I Don't Like It" But Can't Say Why
The most frustrating loop in church creative is pouring hours into a design or video, only to hear “something’s off” or “I don’t like it” with no explanation.
It’s usually not stubbornness - most pastors just don’t have the language to explain what they’re reacting to - and today, we’re going to fix that.
Thanks as always for your time, attention, and trust. Talk to you next Thursday. - Brady Shearer
