The 2025 Church Social Media Calendar

Put me in charge of your church's social media? This is what I'd do.

Hey, it’s Brady,

If you put me in charge of your church's social media calendar, this is exactly what I'd do.

Importantly, this calendar can be tailored to you and your church - depending on how much time & effort you have to dedicate to social.

But first, let’s establish what part of the social media cycle we’re in right now:

  • Attention is expensive

  • Why? Because no major platform innovation has taken place in a few years

  • Therefore, being consistent is more important than ever

  • Also, if you see declining numbers, that’s likely not a reflection of you - it’s just the reality of where things currently stand

Let’s start with the simplest version of the social calendar…

TUE + THU: Sermon Clips #1 + #2

Identify sermon clips at the intersection of faith and culture. Meaning, the sermon clip should be just as relevant to a person without a faith background as it is to a Christian.

Publish To: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok

Ready to do a bit more? Add in these additional posting days next.

MON: Quote Post

Watch for quotes that are short and snappy. And fall into one of three categories: emotional, relatable, or bold.

Publish To: Facebook [Image], Instagram [Image], X/Threads [Text Only]

WED: Carousel & Text Thread

The best-performing carousels start with a bold headline and are supported with minimal design. Let the text speak for itself.

Publish To: Instagram [Carousel], X/Threads [Text Thread], Facebook [Text Thread]

Finally, the ultimate version of this calendar adds two more posts…

FRI + SAT: Portrait Posts #1 + #2

Portraits are social media posts that highlight your weekend services through vibrant imagery. Because your church's social presence should actually look like your church.

Publish To: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X
